P3 funding PRESS RELEASE:
Wagoner Community Hospital Receives Prestigious Award from Oklahoma P3 Development Pool
[Wagoner, OK] – October 31, 2024 – Wagoner Hospital Authority dba Wagoner Community Hospital (WCH) is proud to announce that it has been awarded funding from the Oklahoma P3 (Public-Private Partnership) Development Pool. This prestigious recognition highlights the hospital’s commitment to enhancing healthcare services and improving community well-being through innovation and collaboration.
The Oklahoma P3 Development Pool, an initiative aimed at fostering partnerships between public entities and private organizations, provides financial support to projects that strengthen infrastructure, improve service delivery, and create sustainable community growth. Wagoner Community Hospital was selected due to its forward-thinking approach to healthcare, strategic planning, and dedication to addressing the needs of the growing Wagoner County population.
“We are honored to receive this award from the Oklahoma P3 Development Pool,” said Jimmy Leopard, CEO of Wagoner Community Hospital. “This funding will allow us to continue to provide exceptional care for our patients. Our goal is to ensure that every member of our community has access to the high-quality healthcare they deserve.” These efforts align with Wagoner Community Hospital’s mission to be a trusted healthcare provider and a pillar of the community.
The funding made available through this award helps Wagoner Hospital Authority to invest in control systems upgrades. State withholding taxes of up to $375,000 will be captured from both the Wagoner Hospital Authority and Elastomer Specialties, Inc. and directed to the awarded project. The term of the project will not be more than three years, but could end sooner.
“This is a community effort, and we applaud Elastomer in joining us to make this happen,” added Rebecca Sharp, CFO of Wagoner Community Hospital. “Additionally, we want to recognize Darla Heller, Wagoner County’s Economic Development Director’s role in making us aware of the P3 funding and help guide us through the process.”
