Wagoner county embraces economic growth with approval of CPACE program

December 4, 2023 – In a significant move towards fostering economic growth and promoting sustainable development, Wagoner County proudly announces the approval of the Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (CPACE) program. The decision was made after careful consideration by the County Commissioners and reflects a commitment to supporting local businesses and enhancing energy efficiency.

Administered through INCOG, The CPACE program, designed to facilitate energy-efficient upgrades in commercial buildings, enables property owners to access long-term financing for qualified projects. This groundbreaking initiative not only benefits the environment but also stimulates economic development by creating jobs and improving property values.

Key features of Wagoner County’s CPACE program include:

Financial Incentives: Property owners can now access affordable, long-term financing for projects that enhance energy efficiency, reduce operational costs, and contribute to environmental sustainability.

Job Creation: The implementation of CPACE is expected to generate job opportunities within the community. As businesses invest in energy-efficient upgrades, local contractors, engineers, and other professionals will be in demand to execute these projects.

Increased Property Values: Energy-efficient buildings often experience increased property values. By encouraging property owners to invest in energy efficiency, Wagoner County aims to create a more attractive and resilient local real estate market.

County Commissioner Chris Edwards expressed enthusiasm for the CPACE program, stating, “This is a pivotal moment for Wagoner County. By approving the CPACE program, we are not only promoting economic growth but also taking a proactive step towards a more resilient future. We encourage property owners and businesses to explore the opportunities that CPACE offers for both their bottom line and the well-being of our County.”
